Being tested on extremely short notice for a specific job

Scary story!
Hello fellow Hubbers! This is a true story that I would like to share with you. I hope you don't get scared by what is going to be told. I am still scared thinking about tomorrow's prospects.
I have an exam tomorrow. A 4 hour, 120 question exam. I just found out about it yesterday evening but thought I had until Monday to prepare for it. I was a little frantic when I heard about it. How can I pass after just having one night to really study for this exam?
You see, I took a tax preparer class this week. I am hoping to be able to help others do their taxes and get big fat refund checks from the government by the end of April at the latest. I have been practicing questions and reading the textbook material all week. I still do not know how I am going to take this exam tomorrow morning. I am not good with multiple choice questions and just hope I can do well enough to pass and be able to have a temporary job. Money is very tight these days in our house, and so any extra cash will help.
The nice thing about this exam is that it is open book. We can also ask our instructors about questions we have on this exam. On top of that, we don't actually have to file anyone's tax return during the exam. So I hope and pray that this exam is doable.
For anyone who has taken the tax preparer class and the exam, please give me feedback. How did you prepare for this exam? Do you think that I can do well enough to pass after just having tonight to study for it? Thanks in advance.
Any thoughts, comments and ideas are welcomed!

I spend weeks of studying prior to taking vendor exams in the IT field of education. Study and on hands experience is the key factor. One thing about most major exams of any nature is the questions may vary but the "product" never changes... Learn the product..that is a key.
How well you do will depend upon your base knowledge of the material. Do you understand the main concepts? Also, try not to panic. There should be sufficient time. Read the questions carefully.
I wish you well on your exam and I hope you make lots of money for your family. ;)
Hello riaha! Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear it did not go well today. The CompTIA exams that I have taken so far, the A+ and Network+, have had those trick questions with wording and such switched around to try and trick you. You are absolutely correct about being careful! We test in a room, door closed, video monitored, online and of course we are timed. No watches, cell phones, purses, bags or anything of that nature is allowed in the room with us.
Hope that things go well for you tomorrow. Rest well, study, and pass!
You must be awake, alert and focused to perform well. Eat some almonds (if you aren't allergic) they are a perfect source of "brain food" for test taking. Also after reading the question try to think of the answer to the problem before looking at the provided answers. That will help you from getting tripped up on the wording. When you look at the answers and know the material then one should stand out as the obvious choice.
Congratulations, riaha! Well done! As for the exam software having glitches, I have run into the same scenario where I am at! Hopefully they will get that resolved for you before any exam you may have upcoming!
Congratulations!
Well done, Riaha! Great hub!

You would be better off actually learning the material. Even if you do pass the fact is you wont realistically be prepared to do anyone's taxes and may end up screwing people over in a big way because you didn't practice better time management. Fail don't fail either way you fail...
